We are looking to hire a Vice President, People to join our team. Reporting to the President of Europe Express, you will lead the people, culture and organisational effectiveness agenda, enabling people and teams to thrive and adapt to changing business needs.
You will be a commercially minded executive partner who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. As a member of both the Europe Express Leadership Team and the Travelopia People Leadership Team, you will help the business move further and faster through talent, culture, technology and organizational effectiveness.

What you'll do:
People strategy, organization and transformation
- Develop and deliver the Europe Express people strategy, aligned with business goals and growth plans.
- Lead organisation design, workforce planning and capability initiatives that support sustainable growth.
- Embed people priorities into strategic and operational planning with clear ownership and measurable outcomes.
- Improve organisational effectiveness by strengthening structure, accountability, decision-making and ways of working.
- Lead the people side of transformation, helping teams navigate and adopt change successfully.
Culture, leadership and performance
- Build a high-performing, customer-focused culture grounded in accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Coach and challenge the President, Leadership Team and senior leaders to strengthen leadership, teams and business performance.
- Lead performance management, talent reviews and succession planning across the business.
- Develop leadership and people manager capability through practical development, coaching and tools.
- Champion engagement, inclusion, wellbeing and communication, turning feedback into action.
Talent, capability and workforce strategy
- Develop and deliver a talent strategy that attracts, develops and retains exceptional people aligned to business and customer goals.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to maintain a high hiring bar, positive candidate experience and strong succession pipelines.
- Build workforce capability, leadership strength and future skills through targeted development and learning initiatives.
- Align talent, performance, career growth and internal mobility with current and future business needs.
- Use workforce data and insights to drive decisions, improve outcomes and strengthen customer-focused behaviours, service excellence and operational performance.
AI, productivity and future ways of working
- Lead the people strategy for AI adoption and workforce transformation.
- Partner with leaders to deliver measurable improvements in productivity, efficiency and employee experience through AI-enabled ways of working.
- Prepare the organisation for evolving skills, roles and workforce needs.
- Foster curiosity, learning and responsible experimentation with AI and emerging technologies.
- Ensure change, capability and adoption plans maximise the value of technology investments.
Executive leadership and People operations
- Contribute as a member of the Europe Express Leadership Team, shaping business strategy and performance beyond the People function.
- Serve as a trusted adviser and constructive challenger to the President and senior leaders.
- Partner with Centres of Excellence, People Services, Payroll, Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development to deliver scalable and compliant people solutions.
- Maintain strong governance, planning and execution across the employee lifecycle.
- Manage complex employee relations matters fairly, pragmatically and in line with local legislation.
- Contribute to the Travelopia People Leadership Team and help shape the wider Group people agenda.
What you'll bring:
- Experience leading a People or Human Resources function within a complex, international organization.
- Success partnering with executive leaders to drive business and organizational outcomes.
- Experience leading organizational change, transformation and workforce planning initiatives.
- A strong understanding of leadership development, talent management and culture building.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution.
- Confidence influencing, coaching and supporting senior stakeholders through change and growth.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to connect people decisions to business priorities.
- Passion for innovation, organizational effectiveness and AI-enabled workforce transformation.
- Excellent communication, planning and relationship-building skills.
