A leading global financial institution is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to manage third-party supplier relationships and sourcing initiatives, with a particular focus on Market Data Services. This role will lead competitive sourcing events, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and contracting while partnering with senior stakeholders across Procurement, Legal, Risk, Finance, and business functions. The ideal candidate brings significant professional services sourcing experience and a strong understanding of the market data supplier landscape.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for Market Data Services and related third-party spend.
Partner with internal stakeholders to define business requirements and develop sourcing strategies.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with qualified suppliers.
Design and manage RFI, RFP, RFQ, competitive bidding, and single-source processes.
Analyze supplier proposals, pricing structures, and commercial terms to develop sourcing recommendations.
Negotiate contracts and commercial arrangements while partnering with Legal and other control functions.
Develop cost models and assess supplier value, cost drivers, and total cost of ownership.
Establish and manage appropriate purchasing channels and supplier governance processes.
Conduct market, industry, and supplier research and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Partner with Procurement Operations, Third Party Risk, Contract Management, Legal, Risk, Finance, and business stakeholders to execute sourcing initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve supplier strategy, generate value, and drive sourcing-related change.
