What You''re Applying for

Triple Whale is looking for a VP of Sales to lead our next phase of growth as we redefine how ecommerce brands use data and AI to run their businesses.

We're looking for a sales leader who is genuinely fluent in AI, someone who understands how it's changing the way brands operate and buy software and is already using it to build smarter, faster, and more effective sales teams.

In this role, you'll lead and develop a high-performing sales organization, strengthen our go-to-market strategy, and bring greater consistency and predictability to how we generate pipeline, win new customers, and drive expansion.

What You'll Do

• Directly manage five sales leaders; the Head of Mid-Market Sales, two SDR Managers, an Expansion Sales Manager, and an SMB Sales Manager while providing leadership and strategic oversight for the broader 30+ person sales organization
• Recruit, coach, and develop sales leaders while creating a culture of ownership, collaboration, and high performance
• Own pipeline generation, new logo acquisition, and expansion revenue across Triple Whale's SMB and Mid-Market ecommerce segments
• Build repeatable sales motions and playbooks, including strong SDR-to-AE handoffs and effective multi-threaded deal cycles
• Partner with the CRO, Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Agency Partnerships on quota setting, territory design, compensation planning, demand generation, forecasting, and channel strategy
• Identify and address process, enablement, and systems gaps as the organization continues to grow
• Demonstrate a track record of scaling high-performing sales organizations, ideally within ecommerce, AI, data, or a fast-growing SaaS environment

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years of SaaS or technology sales experience, including 4+ years leading sales managers or directors across SDR, Mid-Market, and Expansion teams.
• Ideally, you'll also bring 2+ years of sales leadership experience at an AI-focused software company. Manager-of-managers experience preferred.
• A proven track record of building and scaling high-performing sales organizations in a fast-growing environment
• A strong understanding of how AI is reshaping modern sales, with experience using AI-powered tools to improve prospecting, accelerate pipeline, automate repetitive work, and create more relevant customer experiences
• Experience owning pipeline, forecasting, territory planning, and quota targets across multiple customer segments
• A data-driven approach to improving pipeline velocity, rep productivity, quota attainment, and revenue predictability
• A highly collaborative leadership style and experience partnering directly with Marketing, Revenue Operations, Product, Customer Success, and executive leadership
• A strong coaching mindset, with a history of developing managers and building future sales leaders
• A strategic, hands-on leader who is comfortable navigating change and building structure within a fast-moving, growth-stage organization
• Experience in ecommerce, marketing technology, AI, data, or analytics is strongly preferred

Our compensation ranges are set using benchmarks from growth-stage companies and factor in function, level, and location, so everything stays balanced and competitive.

This position offers a base salary plus commission. The expected base salary for this role is $185,000.00 - $205,000.00 per year. The role is also eligible for commission under Triple Whale's sales compensation plan, with expected on-target earnings of $370,000-410,000.00 per year. This role is also eligible for equity under Triple Whale's equity incentive plan.

Eligible employees receive medical coverage; a 401(k) with a company match of up to 3%; 30 days of paid time off accrued monthly after the first 30 days of employment; five sick days; and nine paid company holidays. Triple Whale also offers paid parental leave for eligible employees.
