We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and clinically skilled Nurse Practitioner (with behavioral health experience) to join our team.
Position Summary
The Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, followup appointments, and collaborative care within an outpatient behavioral health setting. This role offers flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and the ability to manage your own caseload with full administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the EHR
- Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and administrative staff
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment options
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and agency standards
- Participate in case consultations as needed
- Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards at all times
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Nurse Practitioner License (required)
- Active DEA License (or ability to obtain)
- NPI, CAQH, Medicaid, Medicare/PTAN, and BWC enrollment preferred
- Experience in psychiatry, mental health, or substance use treatment strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
- Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decisionmaking skills
- Must pass background checks and credentialing requirements
- Least 1 year experience in mental health and med management
