Job Purpose
To perform loading, unloading of RJW trucks and outside carriers. Ensure all shipments are properly stored in the warehouse. Pick orders from warehouse inventory as directed by customer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Loading and unloading truck and trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carrier equipment. • Picking and moving from 1 lb to 50 lbs or more multiple times. • Ensure all documentation is properly completed. • Coordinate with dispatch and sales to resolve any discrepancies. • Properly storing of all inbound loads in the correct warehouse location. • Ensure all shipments are properly marked before storing and picking. • Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping. • Spotting of trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment into warehouse. • Coordinate paperwork with drivers after normal dispatch operations are finished for the day. • General maintenance of the surrounding warehouse. • Ensure trailers are swept clean of any debris when empty. • Ensure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly. • Process outbound freight cross-dock freight as necessary.
Ability to operate Stand-up Reach Forklifts, Cherry Pickers, and some sit-down forklift work. Follow all safety procedures at all times. Must be able to build pallets and break down stock. Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse. Other tasks as assigned by manager.
Additional Responsibilities
• Must know how to operate a Forklift, Cherry Picker, and Stand-up Reach Forklift. • Good communication, problem resolution, and people skills. • Ability to maintain orderly operation of warehouse.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
