We are seeking an experienced WAMS Technical Resource to support and enhance an Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management (WAMS) environment for a large utility organization headquartered in the Seattle area. This role is ideal for a technical professional who enjoys solving complex data and integration challenges, supporting critical business operations, and contributing to large-scale IT initiatives.
The successful candidate will have strong experience with Oracle Utilities WAM, backend development, SQL, Unix/Linux environments, and secure data integrations. This position will play a key role in supporting existing systems while helping transition legacy file-based processes to Oracle Cloud.
Support and maintain backend processes within Oracle Utilities WAMS v1.9x
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and data correction across WAMS components
Develop and document reusable solutions for data extraction, transformation, and integration
Ensure data designs support operational requirements, audit controls, and system performance
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document WAMS processes
Translate business requirements into technical solutions and backend workflows
Support work order, labor, material, and asset management processes within WAMS
Assist with business process mapping and operational alignment
Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, ETL processes, and data extraction routines
Build and maintain Shell/Unix scripts for automation and secure file transfers
Support ingestion of data into Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB)
Design and support secure integration workflows using SFTP and Oracle Cloud Object Storage
Define transformation logic for CSV, XML, JSON, and other structured data formats
Support system integration testing, backend validation, and user acceptance testing
Troubleshoot integration issues and implement long-term solutions
Create and maintain technical documentation to support production readiness and ongoing operations
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities WAM (preferably v1.9x)
Strong SQL development and data management experience
Experience with ETL processes and backend data integration
Proficiency with Unix/Linux environments and Shell scripting
Experience with secure file transfer processes (SFTP)
Experience supporting or migrating integrations to Oracle Cloud Object Storage
Strong understanding of relational databases and enterprise data architecture
Experience within utility, energy, or asset management environments
Experience working with regulated or municipal utility organizations
Familiarity with cloud migration and modernization initiatives
Experience developing large-scale automated data processing solutions
Knowledge of Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB)
