Responsible for packing organic products in a fast-paced production/warehouse environment while maintaining quality, accuracy, and food-safety standards. This role supports daily production goals by assembling packaging, labeling, inspecting product, and keeping the work area clean and organized.
Key Responsibilities
Pack organic products into correct packaging (bags, boxes, cartons, trays) based on work orders.
Assemble packaging materials and prep supplies (liners, inserts, seals, dividers).
Apply and verify labels (product name, lot codes, dates, barcodes) for accuracy and legibility.
Inspect products and packaging for defects (leaks, damage, contamination, incorrect count/weight).
Follow food safety and sanitation practices (GMPs), including proper handwashing and PPE usage.
Maintain a clean, organized workstation; support end-of-shift cleanup.
Meet hourly/daily productivity goals while working safely and efficiently.
Communicate issues (quality concerns, low supplies, equipment problems) to leads/supervisors.
Assist with basic material handling as needed (stacking, palletizing, moving finished goods).
Qualifications
Warehouse/production or packaging experience preferred (but not required if trainable).
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work at a steady pace.
Comfortable doing repetitive tasks and standing for long periods.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand motions.
