Warehouse Account Manager

Take Ownership of Client Accounts and Keep Warehouse Operations Moving

Our logistics client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Account Manager to manage key customer accounts and coordinate the warehouse activities required to fulfill orders accurately and on time.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands warehouse operations, distribution, fulfillment, and logistics. You'll serve as the connection between customers, company leadership, and the warehouse employees responsible for executing the work.

The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You'll be expected to maintain a presence on the warehouse floor and be willing to jump in alongside the team when needed.

What You'll Do

• Manage the day-to-day operational needs of customer accounts.
• Oversee the fulfillment process for distribution center and e-commerce orders.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, inventory, shipping, and fulfillment needs.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of warehouse employees.
• Delegate and prioritize picking, packing, staging, loading, transloading, and other warehouse activities.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments and help resolve inventory, fulfillment, and shipping issues.
• Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage orders and inventory.
• Communicate priorities between company ownership, customers, and warehouse employees.
• Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Remain flexible and willing to assist the warehouse team with physical tasks, including loading shipments, when necessary.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in warehousing, transportation, logistics, distribution, fulfillment, supply chain, or 3PL operations.
• Knowledge of distribution center and e-commerce fulfillment processes.
• Experience with picking/packing, inventory management, shipping/receiving, drayage, and transloading.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Previous experience supervising or directing warehouse employees.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and changing priorities.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• A hands-on leadership style and willingness to work alongside the team when needed.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

This position requires regular activity in a warehouse environment. Candidates must be able to:

• Regularly stand and walk throughout the warehouse.
• Bend, reach, stoop, crouch, push, and pull as needed.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Safely work around trucks, loading areas, pallets, warehouse equipment, and moving inventory.
• Assist with physical warehouse activities when operational needs require it.
