A distribution facility is seeking a dependable Warehouse Agent to support daily freight handling, equipment operation, and documentation accuracy. This role requires strong attention to detail, safe work habits, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Agent 1 is responsible for loading and unloading materials using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. The role requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment and identifying discrepancies in received loads against the manifest.

Essential Functions

• Utilize the manifest to pull routes, stage freight, and assist Drivers with loading and unloading

• Perform material handling tasks including picking, packing, scanning, kitting, and counting products

• Ensure timeliness, packaging accuracy, and correct systems documentation

• Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)

• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks

• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment

• Maintain compliance with TSA and OSHA safety requirements

• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink-wrap materials

• Experience using an RF scan gun required

• Previous forklift certification preferred

• Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends

• Strong reading comprehension and ability to follow instructions

• Ability to work well with others in a team environment

• Basic MS Office and data entry skills preferred

• High attention to detail

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs unassisted

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a warehouse environment

• Verifiable 1+ years operating a reach truck and sit-down counterbalance forklift

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods

• Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, bending, and overhead lifting

• Regular lifting/moving of up to 50 lbs

• Use of pallet jacks and forklifts

• Regular use of phone, PC, and reading/writing shipping documents
