Warehouse Lead

We are seeking a Warehouse Lead who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment and is passionate about driving safety, productivity, quality, and team success. In this role, you will provide day-to-day leadership and support to warehouse associates, help maintain efficient operations, and step into a supervisory capacity when needed.

Position Summary
The Warehouse Lead assists in leading daily warehouse operations to ensure safety, quality, inventory accuracy, and productivity goals are achieved. This role provides direction, coaching, and operational support to warehouse team members while helping maintain efficient workflows throughout the facility. The Warehouse Lead serves as acting supervisor in the supervisor's absence, ensuring operational continuity and adherence to company standards.
What You'll Do
Leadership & Team Support
  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities across assigned operational areas.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to warehouse associates and shift leads.
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and development of team members.
  • Help monitor workflow, staffing levels, and productivity to maximize efficiency.
  • Resolve day-to-day operational issues and support continuous process improvement.
  • Serve as acting supervisor when the Warehouse Supervisor is unavailable.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Warehouse Operations
  • Receive, verify, and put away incoming inventory.
  • Pick, pack, review, and palletize customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, labels, and related records.
  • Stage, wrap, weigh, and prepare outbound shipments for carrier pickup.
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound freight safely and efficiently.
  • Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Operate forklifts, order pickers, turret trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Assist with hands-on material handling, including lifting, moving, and organizing product.
Safety & Facility Maintenance
  • Conduct daily inspections of powered industrial equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Report safety concerns, hazards, accidents, and equipment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Support housekeeping and 5S standards throughout the facility.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or inventory-handling environment.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
  • Experience with picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Automotive aftermarket returns experience.
  • Experience using RF scanners.
  • Prior leadership, lead, or supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.

Physical Demands & Requirements
Physical Effort: Occasional to frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs. Position involves a combination of stationary work and frequent movement throughout the facility and across multiple levels.
