Warehouse Assistant

Pay Range: $48,000- $52,000 yearly

Benefits/Perks: Performance bonuses

Hours: Full-time position with 40+ hours per week

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

• Record the receipt, storage, and dispatch of merchandise.

• Follow all processes and safety, handling, and cargo packaging procedures.

• Inspect all cargo received at the warehouse and apply security tape prior to dispatch.

• Supervise the proper packaging and loading of cargo for shipment to its destination.

• Keep inventory records and systems up to date.

• Report any stock discrepancies.

• Manage shipping documentation, including delivery notes, invoices, manifests, etc.

• Send reports of dispatched cargo to the appropriate individuals or companies.

• Keep the warehouse area organized and clean.

• Organize, direct, and evaluate package pickup personnel assigned to routes.

• Ensure the proper use and care of equipment and vehicles assigned to the Operations Department.

• Prepare monthly reports as requested by the Warehouse Manager.

Position Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership, good communication skills, and strong organizational abilities.

• Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in warehouses, storage facilities, or distribution centers.

• Experience with receiving, storage, picking, packing, pick-up, shipping/dispatch, and inventory control.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel for inventory management.

• Completion of high school or equivalent education (high school diploma or equivalent).
