Warehouse Assistant / Material Handler
Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
Shift: Day Shift
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant / Material Handler to support shipping, receiving, and inventory operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for accurately handling materials, preparing customer orders, and ensuring all products meet quality and shipping requirements.
The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, organized, and able to meet daily production and shipping deadlines while working as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials (quantity, condition, and documentation)
Enter receiving transactions into MRP/ERP systems (MAX)
Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including BOLs and packing slips
Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy
Store materials properly to prevent damage and maintain organization
Support basic assembly tasks as needed (glass, hardware, gaskets, etc.)
Report shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues to leadership
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely

Knowledge & Skills
Forklift experience required
Experience with shipping/receiving and inventory systems (MRP/ERP preferred)
Ability to read packing lists, part numbers, and basic documentation
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Basic understanding of warehouse and logistics processes
