Warehouse Assistant & Delivery

General Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant will assist in the upkeep and organization of the 33,000 sq. ft. warehouse including the docks and refrigerator/freezer units. They must help develop and maintain the smooth running of storage processes including listening to the Warehouse Manager and working as a team with other Assistants. The Assistant will need to communicate with customers, vendors, and delivery drivers. It is vital for this person have strong organization skills and eye hand coordination.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Processing orders
2. Receiving incoming freight from vendors
3. Ensuring products are stored safely
4. Identifying when stock is low and reorders are required
5. Working with delivery personnel to load vehicles properly
6. Occasionally making special deliveries to satisfy higher volume days
7. Maintaining basic health and safety standards while handling food products
8. Keeping accurate records of incoming/outgoing freight
9. Notify the Warehouse Manager immediately of any facility or maintenance issues

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
1. Proficiency (written & spoken) in English is required.
2. Punctuality and accountability are required.
3. Must be comfortable lifting and moving up to a max of 300 40lb. boxes a day about 10 feet in distance. Some boxes weigh up to 60 lbs.
4. CA Drivers License with previous 4 year safe driving history (no tickets, no accidents)

DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
1. Prior warehouse, distribution, or physical labor experience strongly preferred. Must have experience in a role requiring regular lifting of 20-60 lb. items.
2. High school diploma.
3. Enjoys working with clients and fulfilling their needs.
4. Good communication skills
5. Detail-oriented, flexible, and well organized multi-tasker and team player.
6. Capable of basic math calculations and can operate a standard calculator.
7. Demonstrate high integrity with responsible and honest behavior every day
8. Big bonus if you speak Korean to communicate with our customers

USEFUL BUT NOT REQUIRED:
1. Prior forklift or pallet jack experience
2. Prior food distribution experience
3. B2B delivery experience driving commercial van
