Warehouse Associate I (1st Shift)
Location: Arden, NC 28704
Pay: $17.00 - $17.83/hr (Paid Weekly)
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Duration: Long-Term Contract (Temp-to-Perm)
Overtime
- Overtime is frequently available and often required.
- Standard overtime hours are 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
- Mandatory Saturday shifts may be required based on business needs.
- Additional bonus opportunities may be available for Sunday shifts.
Overview
Support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is responsible for operating material handling equipment, picking and preparing customer orders, loading and unloading shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring products are packaged and shipped correctly. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on their feet throughout the day.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, and store materials throughout the warehouse.
- Pick, build, and stage customer orders accurately for shipment.
- Verify product numbers, quantities, and shipment information.
- Sort, label, repack, and weigh products as needed.
- Inspect products for damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, and pallet jacks.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Assist with inventory counts, audits, and warehouse documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse and material handling experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, and pallet jacks.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and use a calculator.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hour shifts.
- Ability to work at varying heights within warehouse racking systems.
- Ability to repeatedly lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
