Warehouse Associate I (2nd Shift)
Location: Arden, NC 28704
Pay Rate: $17.83 - $19.83/hr
- Base Pay: $17.83/hr
- Current 2nd Shift Differential: $2.00/hr
- Current Total Pay: $19.83/hr
Temporary Pay Incentive:
The 2nd shift differential is currently increased to $2.00/hr. Once the promotional period ends, the shift differential will return to the standard $1.00/hr rate.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Overtime Schedule:
- Weekday OT: 4:00 PM - 1:30 AM
- Saturday OT: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
- Sunday OT may be available based on business needs

Overview
We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to support order fulfillment, inventory movement, and shipping operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, building customer orders, loading and unloading freight, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Candidates must be comfortable performing physical warehouse work while following strict safety standards.
Responsibilities
Order Picking & Fulfillment
- Accurately pick and build customer orders.
- Verify product quantities and item accuracy.
- Transport completed orders to shipping and staging areas.
- Prepare orders for shipment.
Equipment Operation
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, and pallet jacks safely.
- Perform daily equipment inspections.
- Assist with battery charging and basic equipment maintenance.
Shipping & Receiving
- Load and unload inbound and outbound freight.
- Move products to designated warehouse locations.
- Support efficient material flow throughout the facility.
Inventory Control
- Store products in assigned locations.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
- Maintain organized inventory storage areas.
Quality & Documentation
- Inspect products for damage and accuracy.
- Sort, label, wrap, strap, and prepare shipments.
- Complete inventory and warehouse documentation accurately.
Warehouse Maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Experience operating reach trucks, stock pickers, or pallet jacks preferred.
- Prior order selecting, distribution, or warehouse experience required.
Skills
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory handling practices.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to solve routine warehouse-related issues independently.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Work safely around elevated storage racks and warehouse equipment.
- Wear steel-toe footwear and required PPE at all times.
