Base Pay @ $17.83/hr + Shift Differential.
*** Temporary Incentive Notice: There is a temporary increase bringing the 2nd Shift Differential to $2.00/hour (Totaling $19.83/hr). This incentive is currently pending an update as to its exact end date. Once the promotional end date is determined, the shift differential will return to the standard $1.00/hour rate.
Work schedule: 2nd Shift |Mon - Fri 4pm - 12:30am (OT hours 4pm - 1:30am)
Overtime Requirements: Standard daily OT hours run from 4:00 PM - 1:30 AM. Saturday OT shifts run from 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM. Sunday OT shifts may also become available based on facility volume.
The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for selecting and operating material handling equipment within the facility walls to safely move, stack, and shift products. This role plays a key component in providing excellent customer service by accurately building retail orders and loading freight onto delivery trucks. This position requires operating in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with a heavy focus on order precision and strict safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Order Picking & Building: Accurately build customer orders for shipment on a repetitive basis, ensuring the correct number and type of products are selected. Transport completed orders to the shipping and packing areas using designated machinery.
Industrial Equipment Operation: Safely operate a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts, stock pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks. Perform daily safety inspections and minor equipment maintenance, such as charging or changing forklift batteries.
Freight Logistics: Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight trucks in an efficient and timely manner.
Inventory Control & Storage: Move received products to designated storage zones, ensuring items are stacked efficiently and organized in their appropriate locations. Assist the facility team with taking physical inventory counts.
Order Processing & Quality Checks: Count, verify, and check products for structural damage or order inaccuracies. Sort, mark, wrap, strap, and repack orders as needed, ensuring they are weighted, labeled, and prepared to arrive at customer locations in pristine condition.
Documentation & Safety Maintenance: Complete all associated inventory paperwork accurately. Maintain a clean, neat, and organized workspace, and perform miscellaneous warehouse tasks as directed by management to support general operations.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
Equipment Proficiency: Proven capability to operate material handling equipment, specifically forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, and pallet jacks.
Warehouse Standards: Strong working knowledge of standard inventory handling methods, industrial warehouse processes, and facility safety regulations.
Foundational Math & Literacy: Ability to read, comprehend, and follow simple instructions in English. Possess basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) with the ability to calculate numbers using a hand-held calculator.
Problem Solving & Judgment: Ability to apply common-sense understanding to execute written or verbal tasks and handle routine, localized job problems using basic problem-solving skills.
Physical Demands & Environmental Constraints
Repetitive Heavy Lifting: Physical capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor safely and repetitively.
Mobility & Height Elevations: No physical limitations regarding standing or walking for the full duration of a shift, and full comfort working around height elevations within the warehouse stacks.
PPE Requirements: Must possess and wear steel-toe safety shoes and all required personal protective equipment for the entire shift.
Education & Experience
Experience: Previous forklift operation, order selecting, or heavy distribution warehouse experience is required.
Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
Term: Contract Assignment
