Position Summary
WEL Companies is seeking three reliable and hardworking Warehouse Associates to assist with a facility shutdown and final building cleanout project. This is a physically demanding assignment focused on removing remaining materials, cleaning the facility, and preparing the building for turnover.
The ideal candidates will be comfortable performing manual labor, working in a team environment, and following all safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove empty pallets, office furniture, and other remaining materials from the facility
- Assist with loading and disposing of items into on-site dumpsters
- Perform general warehouse cleanup duties, including sweeping, dusting, and debris removal
- Participate in team lifts and moving larger items such as furniture and equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the project
- Follow all safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Assist with miscellaneous labor tasks as assigned
Forklift Experience Preferred
At least one associate should have prior experience operating a sit-down forklift. Forklift duties may include moving pallets, panels, or other materials as needed to support the shutdown project.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
- Comfortable performing repetitive physical labor throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods
- Must be able to work as part of a team and participate in buddy lifting when required
Required Safety Equipment
Due to ongoing demolition work within the facility, associates will be required to wear:
- Steel-toed boots
- Long-sleeve shirts
- Safety glasses/eye protection
- Face mask or dust mask
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, laborer, or general construction cleanup experience preferred
- Sit-down forklift experience preferred (for at least one position)
- Strong work ethic and attention to safety
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Schedule
Project-based assignment supporting the final shutdown and cleanup of the facility.
Work Environment
This position involves warehouse cleanup, material handling, and disposal activities in an industrial environment. Candidates should expect a physically active role with frequent lifting, carrying, cleaning, and moving of materials
