About the Role:
Furniture Mart in Gretna, LA is looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Associate & Hot Shot Delivery Driver to join our team! This dual-role position keeps you active and engaged — from organizing our warehouse floor to occassionaly delivering furniture directly to customers' doors. If you love staying on the move and take pride in great service, this is the opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and organize furniture inventory in the warehouse
- Perform hot shot deliveries of furniture and home goods to residential customers
- Inspect items for damage before and after transport to ensure quality control
- Assist with receiving shipments, verifying inventory counts, and stocking merchandise
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and maintain compliance with traffic and safety regulations
- Provide friendly, professional customer service during deliveries and in-warehouse interactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse space and delivery vehicles
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Prior warehouse, logistics, or delivery experience preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy furniture (50+ lbs) safely and consistently
- Familiarity with the Gretna, LA and greater New Orleans area a plus
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet delivery schedules
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented work ethic
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
