Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties in the pick, pack, and ship process, rotating between tasks throughout the shift as needed.
  • Work in the pick area using a cart assigned to your section and follow scanning procedures to select the correct items from racks.
  • Scan the appropriate codes on the cart, pick the specified parts from the racks, place them on the cart, and continue scanning until the cart is complete.
  • Move completed carts to the designated area for the next team member and promptly receive and work on the next available cart.
  • Perform packing duties at a stationary workstation, receiving orders and scanning the accompanying sheets to generate packing slips.
  • Assemble orders by placing the correct products, packing slips, and any additional required items such as batteries, candy, or stickers into boxes according to instructions.
  • Place completed boxes onto the conveyor system so they can be sealed, labeled, and routed to the correct destination.
  • Use RF scanners and other basic warehouse equipment safely and accurately to track and process orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all facility guidelines and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members, communicate clearly, and support a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by taking on different tasks within pick, pack, and ship as business needs change during the shift.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with picking and packing in a warehouse or similar environment.
  • Ability to use RF scanners or similar handheld scanning devices to process orders.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day while performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English to follow instructions and safety information.
  • Ability to read small print on labels, packing slips, and order sheets.
  • Flexible attitude with a willingness to rotate between picking, packing, and shipping duties.
  • Strong team mentality and ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and processes within the warehouse environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Prior scanner experience in a warehouse or distribution setting.
  • At least 6 months of pick and pack or order picking experience.
  • Experience with pallet jacks for moving materials within a warehouse.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when handling small, lightweight products.
  • Reliability and consistency in following established processes and procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.40 - $19.40/hr.
