Job Description

Staff Force is currently hiring Warehouse Associates for a full-time position in Houston, TX. We are looking for dependable, safety-minded individuals who are detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating warehouse equipment, handling products safely, and assisting with shipping and warehouse operations.

Job Responsibilities

• Load trailers with truckload orders and warehouse transfers using a sit-down or stand-up forklift.
• Pick products from pallets and place them into racks up to 25 feet high without damaging products or packaging.
• Pick, prepare, and stage LTL and UPS orders in a timely manner.
• Repackage products, including limiting product to private labeling and stretch-wrapping products.
• Properly print and attach labels to products.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, stretch wrappers, and pallet jacks.
• Put away finished goods using the FLOW/Trend system, forklift, or other warehouse equipment.
• Perform general warehouse duties as assigned.
• Assist with clerical shipping duties and learn basic computer software as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to maintain efficient warehouse operations.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift experience is preferred; must be willing to operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
• Basic math and computer skills at a high school level or higher.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Dependable and able to report to work consistently and on time.
• Must be willing to accept responsibility for assigned tasks and work toward improving warehouse processes.
• Must prioritize safety at all times.
• Must be willing to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
• Ability to learn additional clerical shipping responsibilities and basic computer software.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform manual dexterity tasks.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 10 hours per shift.
• Ability to work in an environment with heat, cold temperatures, and dust.
• Position may require repetitive lifting from floor level throughout the workday.
