    Job Description

    American Leak Detection Is Hiring!

American Leak Detection is looking for a dependable, hands-on Warehouse & Equipment Assembly Associate to join our team in Carrollton, Texas.

This is a unique position that combines warehouse operations, mechanical assembly, inventory control, shipping and receiving, purchasing, and computer/data entry.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with their hands, has good mechanical ability, is comfortable using tools and equipment, and is also capable of working with computers and inventory/order systems.

Our warehouse supports the equipment and products used by American Leak Detection technicians in the field. The position will be involved in building and preparing products and assemblies such as hoses, Test Balls, LeakVue equipment, AquaSnoop equipment, and other specialized leak-detection equipment and assemblies.

    What You Will Do

    Mechanical Assembly

    • Build and assemble equipment and components used in the field.
    • Assemble hoses, Test Balls, LeakVues, AquaSnoop equipment, and other products.
    • Use hand tools and basic power tools.
    • Follow assembly instructions and procedures.
    • Test completed assemblies and identify problems.
    • Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and adjustments.
    • Ensure equipment is properly assembled, tested, labeled, and ready for field use.

    Warehouse Operations

    • Receive and inspect incoming materials and products.
    • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
    • Ship equipment and materials to American Leak Detection locations and field personnel.
    • Organize warehouse materials and maintain an orderly work area.
    • Track parts and components used in equipment builds.
    • Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory.
    • Assist with ordering and replenishing inventory.

    Computer & Inventory Responsibilities

    • Enter purchase orders and purchasing information.
    • Process receiving and shipping information.
    • Enter and maintain inventory data.
    • Assist with ordering materials and supplies.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records.
    • Post completed build assemblies in the company's computer system.
    • Track materials and components used in completed assemblies.
    • Learn and use company software and computer systems.

    Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

    • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, assembly, or similar work experience.
    • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to work comfortably with tools.
    • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
    • Good organizational and data-entry skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Ability to read and follow instructions.
    • Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • A dependable and responsible work ethic.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle warehouse materials and equipment.

Experience That Would Be a Plus

Candidates with experience in any of the following are encouraged to apply:

    • Mechanical assembly
    • Manufacturing
    • Plumbing
    • HVAC
    • Automotive repair
    • Industrial equipment
    • Pumps and hoses
    • Field service
    • Construction
    • Shipping and receiving
    • Inventory control
    • Purchasing
    • Warehouse management systems

    The Right Candidate

The right person for this position doesn't necessarily need experience with our specific equipment. We can teach you our products and procedures.

What is most important is that you are mechanically inclined, willing to learn, organized, dependable, and comfortable working with both your hands and a computer.

If you enjoy taking something apart, figuring out how it works, putting it together correctly, and making sure it works before it goes out the door, this could be a great opportunity for you.

    Why This Position Is Different

This is not just a traditional warehouse position.

You will have the opportunity to learn how specialized leak-detection equipment is assembled and prepared for use by technicians in the field. Your work will directly support American Leak Detection operations and the technicians who rely on this equipment every day.

If you are looking for a hands-on position with a combination of mechanical work, warehouse operations, inventory, shipping, purchasing, and computer work, we would like to hear from you.
