This full-time (40hr./wk.) position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation and delivery of equipment and materials as needed between Diversified warehouses and client job sites. Additionally, this position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the warehouse. This position is accountable for the warehouse's inventory accuracy, organization, and control of incoming shipments, as well as the timely, properly documented execution of outgoing shipments, including RMAs. The position entails a service-oriented approach; proactively supporting local and global project teams with all warehouse activities is required, as well as the ability to collaborate and communicate with a variety of other departments and warehouses.Primary functions 1) This position is required to deliver products and materials to job sites andbetween buildings.2) Ensure that outbound shipping requests are processed in a timely mannerand in accordance with project specifications, as well as Diversifiedshipping and inventory control procedures. Confirm all documentation anddata entry is complete and accurate before releasing the shipment.3) Maintain a safe and clean warehouse facility: breakdown boxes and controlwaste; store shipping pallets and other warehouse materials and equipment;follow procedures and inventory control processes; comply with safetypolicies.4) Unload and receive deliveries: process receipt and/or electronically log allincoming packages, based on disposition. Qualify equipment/materials andstore according to warehouse layout and project specifications.5) Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies utilizing RF/ ScanGun6) Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.7) Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items,records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages andshortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned forreplacement or credit.8) Weigh, and label outbound shipments, including small package and freightshipments. Recommend cost-effective shipping procedures to staffmembers. Call for couriers in response to staff requests and notifyappropriate project teams when incoming courier correspondence isreceived.9) Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the departmentsupervisorEducation & Certifications:
High School Diploma/GED.
Requirements:1) Valid Driver License is required, with clean record.2) Pass drug screening.3) Meet appropriate DOT requirements as applicable (physical)4) Ability to maintain accurate records of trips, inspections, and HOS logs for compliance and audits.5) Ability to safely handle a 26' box truck in the Seattle-Tacoma area.6) Organizational skills applicable to loading & unloading trucks.7) Knowledge of how to strap/secure loads within a truck for transport.8) Ability to follow GPS driving instructions
