About the Role:

CBRE is hiring a Warehouse Associate on behalf of a leading global technology manufacturer in San Jose, CA!

In this hands-on role, you'll support the safe handling, labeling, storage, and shipment of materials, including hazardous materials, while ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and safety standards. From preparing shipments and maintaining inventory accuracy to loading and unloading freight and coordinating logistics activities, you'll play a critical role in keeping operations running efficiently. This job is part of the Supply Chain function. They are responsible for maximizing the effectiveness of the organization's

supply chain.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare documents and shipping orders. Pack, seal, and label materials for shipping using the most cost-effective method of shipping.
  • Examine contents and compare with records to verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes.
  • Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Keep records on the use and damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  • Work closely with customers, subcontractors, engineers, designers, project managers, sales, shipping and receiving and panel shop to help Operations facilitate on-time and on-budget projects.
  • Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent. May recommend new techniques.
  • Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.
  • Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.

What You'll Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
  • Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.
  • Ability to evaluate and communicates unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate advanced figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups

The minimum salary for the Warehouse Associate position is $25 per hour and the maximum salary is $30 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
