Job Description:
We are hiring a Logistics –Warehouse Associate specializing in safety and protective equipment. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for candidates with warehouse, shipping, and forklift experience. The role primarily focuses on shipping operations while cross-training in receiving, picking, packing, and general warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare, pick, pack, and load customer orders.
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials safely.
- Process domestic and international shipments using FedEx, UPS, and LTL carriers.
- Complete shipping documentation including Bill of Lading (BOL), Commercial Invoices, and CMUSA forms.
- Maintain inventory records and update ERP/MRP systems.
- Perform receiving, stocking, inventory counts, and warehouse organization.
- Follow warehouse safety procedures and wear required PPE, including steel-toe shoes.
- Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as needed.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse or logistics experience.
- Forklift experience (sit-down and stand-up required;cherry picker is a plus).
- Experience with commercial shipping (FedEx, UPS, LTL).
- Knowledge of international shipping procedures.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
- Understanding of shipping terms such as collect, prepaid, and third-party billing.
- Ability to prepare shipping documents including BOL, Commercial Invoice, and CMUSA forms.
- Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Education Required:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred (not required).
