The Warehouse Associate is a key member of the Millwork team, responsible for accurately picking, staging, and preparing orders; safely handling materials; maintaining an organized warehouse; and delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do:
Position Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, stage, and prepare orders for delivery.
- Safely load, unload, and move doors, windows, trim, and specialty millwork throughout the warehouse.
- Ensure products are stored properly to prevent damage.
- Maintain organized and clean warehouse aisles, racks, and staging areas.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and compliant manner.
- Follow all company safety procedures and participate in ongoing safety training.
- Provide excellent service to customers in the warehouse.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
- Other duties as assigned
What you'll bring:
- Previous warehouse, millwork, construction, or lumberyard experience a plus but not required.
- Ability to safely handle large, bulky, or heavy materials (greater than 50lbs), and perform the physical requirements of the job including frequent lifting, bending, walking, and material handling.
- Forklift experience or certification preferred (company can train).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Simple math skills.
- Working in a warehouse environment in various weather conditions.
