JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Lead is responsible for overseeing the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of goods within the warehouse. This role ensures inventory accuracy, efficient material handling, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The Inventory Lead demonstrates strong knowledge of logistics, supply chain operations, and warehouse management processes while leading daily operations and supporting team performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through daily/weekly cycle counts and periodic physical inventories

  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and warehouse management systems (WMS)

  • Monitor stock levels and ensure proper inventory rotation, including perishable or regulated goods

  • Lead material handling activities, including receiving, processing, storing, moving, and shipping products

  • Verify quantities, parts, destinations, and timing using source documents and system data

  • Utilize WMS, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, AS400), RFID scanners, and other tools to track inventory and generate reports

  • Train, supervise, and assign daily workloads to warehouse associates

  • Perform specialized clerical and documentation tasks related to inventory and shipments

  • Maintain accurate records and reporting for audits and operational tracking

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or inventory control

  • Prior team lead or supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain, and warehouse operations

  • Basic mathematical and analytical skills

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents

  • Familiarity with WMS, ERP systems, and inventory tracking tools

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
  • Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
  • Requires work from heights of up to 20 feet from floor.
  • Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
