JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:                        Warehouse Associate

Shift:                              1^st & 2^nd  

Schedule:                       Monday through Friday

Reports To:                     Warehouse Supervisor/ Manager

Employment Status:       Full Time

FLSA Classification:        Hourly/ Non- Exempt

Compensation Range:     $17.00 - $20.00

Job Summary:

The warehouse worker is responsible for daily tasks such as restocking shelves, accepting incoming orders, processing and packing orders, counting inventory and ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collecting merchandise from the distribution center and safely transporting materials to the shipping bay using hand jacks, power jacks, Hilo, forklifts, etc.
• Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.
• Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
• Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notifying the supervisor.
• Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
• Managing all merchandise with appropriate care.
• Assisting with training new colleagues to carry out tasks effectively.
• Scanning labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination.

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of warehouse machinery.
• Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and safely.

Training and Experience:

• High School Diploma and/ or a combination of work experience.
• Basic math understanding.
• Prior experience working in a warehouse.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• The job involves walking and working on slippery surfaces. Finger dexterity is needed. The position in this classification bend, stand, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work.
• Extended hours standing. Using computers, printers, fax machines and other office equipment. Lifting heavy objects from shelves or out of trucks.
