Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, this position supports shipping, receiving, inventory management, and production line support within a vinyl siding manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety focused, and demonstrates strong job longevity, attendance, and work ethic. Prior warehouse experience is helpful, but some warehouse functions can be taught to the right individual.
We are especially interested in candidates seeking long term employment who value consistency and accountability.

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
Gather warehouse products, scan into inventory, and prepare finished goods for shipment
Pick and load outbound orders, ensuring accurate packing, even weight distribution, and verification against pack sheets
Load carrier trucks and dock trailers using an Ottawa yard truck
Pull completed skids from production lines, scan, and place on warehouse racks
Supply production lines with corrugated boxes and materials
Organize inventory, perform daily cycle counts, and stock partial pick areas
Operate pallet wrapping equipment safely and efficiently
Unload inbound materials including chemicals, equipment, and interplant shipments
Deliver materials to proper storage locations to ensure continuous operations
Remove finished product and scrap skids from production areas
Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe work environment
Ship small packages using the UPS shipping system
Enter material data into SAP when the Team Leader is unavailable
Arrange shipping equipment or truck repairs when needed
Train new warehouse associates on procedures
Perform additional duties or projects as assigned by management

Safety & Decision-Making
The role operates within established CertainTeed safety policies and shipping procedures. The associate is expected to: Make day to day decisions related to the safe operation of shipping equipment
Identify and resolve routine safety issues
Troubleshoot operational problems and escalate protocol deviations to the Shipping Team Leader
Comply with all safety requirements, including use of required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Physical & Environmental Requirements
This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to:
Lift and move materials weighing up to 60 lbs without assistance
Stand and walk for prolonged periods
Perform pushing, pulling, lifting, and material handling throughout the shift
Frequently reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders or stairs
Work in a noisy, dusty manufacturing environment
Tolerate heat, cold, and occasional chemical odors
Work 12%2B hour shifts as required

Equipment & Technical Requirements
Ability to safely operate a forklift (license required or ability to obtain)
Ability to obtain or maintain appropriate motor vehicle and lift truck licensure
