Main Event Caterers is seeking a temporary Warehouse Associate to work for a few months. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting the overall warehouse operations and our clients in the capacity of an Event Packer, Laundry Associate of Dishwashing Associate.

Specifically, the position will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:For Laundry:o Laundering fabrics including linens, napkins, bar towels etc etc.o Sorts fabrics by color and wash temperatureo Launders fabrics in commercial machineso Machine operation including cycle selection, ensuring chemical distributiono Dries fabrics in commercial machine ensuring proper cycle selectiono Operates commercial steamer/presser and treats fabrics through the machineo Folds, hangs, bags and restocks all fabrics in the warehouseo Fabric maintenance including sewing and mendingo Adheres to all safety and policies pertaining to positiono Other duties as assigned

For Event Packing:o Pulls stock from warehouse storage pertaining to event orders; checks off when items have been sufficiently pulledo Evaluates stock for quality, ensuring damaged stock is not sent to eventso Arranges stock in event groupings and labels accordinglyo Verifies orders for quantity and quality accuracyo Packs orders to maximize space usageo Assists in loading orders onto truckso Adheres to all safety and policies pertaining to positiono Other duties as assigned

For Dishwashing Associates:o Sorts items as they return from eventso Pre-rinses and scrapes remaining food particles from dishwareo Groups items together before beginning machine operationo Utilizes machine to continuously feed dishware through the line for thorough washingo Monitors machine chemical levels and wash-water quality. Stops cycle and adjusts accordingly.o Inspects and evaluates dish cleanliness at the end of the lineo Inspects and evaluates dish quality at the end of the line, looking for damageo Sorts and regroups clean dishware, wraps and packs dishware for redistribution to warehouse storageo Restocks clean and wrapped dishware into warehouse storageo Cleans and sanitizes crescorso Adheres to all safety and policies pertaining to positiono Other duties as assigned

EQUIPMENT/ COMPUTER SKILLS: These roles use commercial equipment including dishwashers, hoses, washers and dryers, steamer/presser, sewing machines, portable stairs, and push carts.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: none.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:· High School Diploma or GED preferred· No prior experience or training necessary

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION: NA

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee is required to stand for long periods as well as walk, bend, squat and stoop. The position requires feel, grasp, handle objects with fingers. The position requires ability to use multiple body parts simultaneously. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires the ability to regularly lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Position requires ability to climb ladders and stairs.
