Warehouse Associate

Warehouse Associate Department: Retail Operations Work Location: 72nd & F Employment Status: Full-Time Pay Range: $17.25

JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for receiving, storing, handling, sorting, loading, and unloading materials and performing various warehouse activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive and process donated goods from public.
• Offer and issue receipts to customers for donations in a professional and friendly manner.
• Perform material handling duties.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers at assigned locations.
• Bale, weigh, record, and store salvage materials.
• Responsible for inventory of gaylords and pallets.
• Sort materials into proper containers ensuring each is labeled.
• Pull recyclable materials from salvaged Outlet bins.
• Identify end of life computers from those which can be refurbished.
• Make decisions on product quality and assist in pricing items accordingly.
• Inspect, hang, sort, and tag clothing and donations in accordance with Goodwill Retail Operations Policy.
• Assist in processing pricing and distribution of hard lines.
• Separate and band salvage shoes.
• Assist with new goods inventory.
• Ensure a steady flow of donated goods, supplies, and salvage carts are distributed to the retail stores.
• Operate all equipment in a safe manner.
• Assist with keeping the trucks, trailers, dock, and warehouse orderly and safe.
• Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position.
• Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

• Forklift certification preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Must be able to follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Heavy Lifting: 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• High: Frequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).
