Warehouse Associate

JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for receiving, storing, handling, sorting, loading, and unloading materials and performing various warehouse activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive and process donated goods from public.
- Offer and issue receipts to customers for donations in a professional and friendly manner.
- Perform material handling duties.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and trailers at assigned locations.
- Bale, weigh, record, and store salvage materials.
- Responsible for inventory of gaylords and pallets.
- Sort materials into proper containers ensuring each is labeled.
- Pull recyclable materials from salvaged Outlet bins.
- Identify end of life computers from those which can be refurbished.
- Make decisions on product quality and assist in pricing items accordingly.
- Inspect, hang, sort, and tag clothing and donations in accordance with Goodwill Retail Operations Policy.
- Assist in processing pricing and distribution of hard lines.
- Separate and band salvage shoes.
- Assist with new goods inventory.
- Ensure a steady flow of donated goods, supplies, and salvage carts are distributed to the retail stores.
- Operate all equipment in a safe manner.
- Assist with keeping the trucks, trailers, dock, and warehouse orderly and safe.
- Meet or exceed the attendance expectations for this position.
- Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Forklift certification preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Heavy Lifting: 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- High: Frequently exposed to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).
