Warehouse Associate

Our client, a logistics and distribution company, is seeking Warehouse Associates for a temporary assignment at their Poughkeepsie facility. This role supports increased order volume and involves picking, packing, and staging inventory for outbound shipments.

The position is on-site and physically active, requiring standing, walking, and lifting throughout scheduled shifts. Candidates will work as part of a team under the direction of a shift supervisor in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

This assignment is expected to run through the end of the year, with the possibility of extension based on business needs. No prior warehouse experience is required, but reliability and the ability to follow safety procedures are essential.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack customer orders according to pick tickets
• Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers
• Operate a pallet jack after brief on-site training
• Scan and label inventory using handheld devices
• Stage completed orders in designated shipping areas
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Report damaged goods or inventory discrepancies to a supervisor
• Follow all warehouse safety protocols

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during a shift
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures
• Basic reading and counting skills
• Reliable transportation to the Poughkeepsie facility
• Ability to work assigned shifts, including some weekends
• Prior warehouse or forklift experience is a plus but not required
