Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Location: Rochester, NY

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations for a steel processing and distribution facility. This role is responsible for pulling orders, loading and unloading materials, operating warehouse equipment, and ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately and safely. The ideal candidate has warehouse experience, enjoys working in a hands-on environment, and is committed to safety and quality.

Pay Rate:

• $20.00 – $25.00/hour, based on experience

Shift:

• 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM| Monday – Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick and prepare customer orders from warehouse inventory
• Retrieve steel materials from storage racks using proper material handling techniques
• Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes (training and certification provided as needed)
• Feed and unload processing equipment as required
• Verify material dimensions using measuring tools and tape measures
• Maintain inventory accuracy and proper material organization
• Follow work instructions, company procedures, and safety policies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies promptly

Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, manufacturing, or construction experience preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure
• Basic math skills including measurements and fractions
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

• Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures throughout the year
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Required PPE includes safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hat, and steel-toe boots
• Fast-paced environment handling steel and industrial materials
