Job Description
Kforce has an enterprise client that is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Seattle, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping Operations:
- Process and prepare outbound shipments according to standard operating procedures
- Verify package contents, weights, and shipping labels for accuracy
- Package items appropriately to prevent damage during transit
- Perform quality checks on packaged items before shipment
- Coordinate with carriers and transportation providers
- Use internal shipping systems to track and document shipments
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain organized shipping/receiving areas
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards
- Properly handle manufactured components including machined parts, welded assemblies, and 3D-printed items
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation
- Communicate shipment status to manufacturing teams and customers
- Coordinate with production teams on order readiness and priorities
- Report any shipping issues or delays promptly
Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent
- 1+ years of shipping/receiving experience
- Proficiency with computers and shipping software
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Associate's degree or higher
- Current forklift certification
- OSHA safety certification
- 2+ years of experience in shipping/receiving in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with automated shipping systems
- Experience with inventory management
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- High attention to detail with commitment to accuracy
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple shipments
- Safety-focused with adherence to protocols and procedures
- Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
- Team player with collaborative mindset
- Adaptable with ability to handle changing priorities
- Customer-focused with commitment to on-time delivery
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
