Job Overview:
Warehouse Associate – Inventory Control to support warehouse and production operations through accurate inventory management, receiving, cycle counting, and material movement activities. This position plays a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production flow, and ensuring warehouse organization and compliance with company standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- 1+ year of experience in warehouse, inventory control, receiving, or manufacturing environments
- Experience receiving and inspecting incoming shipments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math and data entry abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical warehouse duties
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with inventory management or ERP systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central strongly preferred
- Experience with cycle counts, audits, receiving, and discrepancy resolution
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Knowledge of FIFO, lot control, shipping/receiving, or lean manufacturing concepts
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and inventory audits
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances
- Receive, inspect, unload, and verify incoming materials
- Enter receiving transactions accurately into ERP or inventory systems
- Coordinate material receiving, storage, and put-away activities
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of materials
- Support FIFO, lot control, and traceability processes
- Stage and issue materials to production as needed
- Assist with physical inventory and year-end counts
- Identify obsolete, excess, or damaged inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment following 5S standards
- Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
- Communicate inventory shortages or discrepancies to supervisors and planners
