Warehouse Associate - START ASAP!

Our client is looking for Warehouse Associates in Saratoga Springs, NY . The Warehouse Associate position is temp-to-hire and is paying $18.00/hr. The work schedule is Monday to Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM with extended hours available.

The Warehouse Associate position performs a combination of tasks involved in the repackaging and distribution of liquid chemicals and where applicable dry products. The Warehouse Associate must have the ability to work with chemicals and know their compatibility in relations to each other.

Warehouse Associate Responsibilities:

• Off-Loads / loads tankers of liquid product, fills containers, test product, repackages and labels containers, placards trucks, and array of other tasks
• Ensure all containers have the correct volume or weight and are sealed and packaged properly prior to shipping
• Ensures samples of incoming product are sampled and tested prior to introduction into bulk tank systems
• Conducts product inventory on a monthly basis or as requested
• Segregates chemicals for compatibility purposes and keeps waste to a minimum
• Practices safety in every aspect of the job
• Conducts other activities as directed
• Puts tools away after use, cleans products hose after use, and containers prior to use
• Keeps work area free and clean of clutter and debris
• All other duties as assigned

Warehouse Associate Requirements:

• Steady performer with attention to detail
• Cares about the quality of work and can work independently, as well as work with a team
• Chemical handling background is a plus
• Wears PPE as described in job tasks and cleans PPE on a regular basis
• Practices safety in every aspect of the job
• Participates in safety training and overtime when requested
• Steel toed boots are required
• Must be able to lift up to a maximum of 50-lbs
