Conklin Metal Industries is a fourth-generation, family-owned distributor of sheet metal, HVAC, and duct fabrication supplies. We were founded in 1874, and for 150 years we have built a reputation on reliability, quality, and taking care of our people.

We serve the entire Southeast through a growing network of warehouse locations. Our customers include sheet metal contractors, mechanical contractors, HVAC service specialists, duct fabricators, and residential and commercial new construction teams. If it goes into a duct system, we stock it.

What You Will Be Doing

This is a full-time, day shift warehouse role with a Monday through Friday schedule. You will be part of the team that keeps our Summerville branch running, making sure product gets received accurately, stored correctly, and shipped out on time. Forklift experience is required, but this is a well-rounded warehouse role, not a single-task position.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Receiving and verifying incoming shipments against invoices and ensuring product arrives in good condition
• Accurately completing all required receiving paperwork
• Organizing and stocking merchandise within the warehouse according to company standards
• Following and enforcing all safety protocols, including proper racking and storage procedures
• Identifying and reporting missing or damaged inventory to management
• Pulling, staging, packing, and loading outgoing deliveries and transfers with care
• Loading and securing trucks in compliance with DOT and Conklin standards
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times

What We Are Looking For

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and sustain a high level of physical activity throughout the shift
• Forklift experience required; certification preferred
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and solid teamwork skills
• Problem-solving mindset with strong task prioritization
• Willingness to work overtime as business needs require
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures depending on the season
• ERP experience preferred; Prophet 21 a plus
• WMS experience and RF scan gun proficiency preferred
