Warehouse Associate
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 4:00 PM (depending on lunch break selected at the start of employment)
Assignment Length: 3 to 6 months
Hire Type: Temporary assignment with potential for permanent hire
Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join a fast-paced production and distribution team. This role combines warehouse, shipping, inventory, and light production responsibilities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build experience in warehouse operations, shipping, and production while working in a stable Monday-through-Friday schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations
- Use the company inventory management system to locate and pick finished goods orders
- Accurately retrieve products from warehouse shelves
- Prepare orders for shipment by packing items securely
- Verify order quantities and product details before shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Shipping and Receiving
- Process outgoing shipments using UPS WorldShip
- Print shipping labels and documentation
- Ensure packages are properly labeled and prepared for carrier pickup
- Coordinate shipping for customer orders, including healthcare-related accounts
- Inventory Control
- Assist with month-end inventory counts
- Verify stock quantities and report discrepancies
- Help maintain accurate inventory records
- Production and Bindery Support
- Print and prepare materials for production
- Cut printed materials using industrial cutting equipment
- Operate shrink wrap equipment
- Fold printed materials according to specifications
- Learn basic bindery functions and support finishing operations
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse, shipping, or production experience preferred
- Experience with inventory systems is a plus
- Familiarity with shipping software such as UPS WorldShip is helpful
- Ability to learn bindery and print finishing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
