Pay Rate: $17.00 – $19.00/hr
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (2-2-3) | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Duration: Contract (05/11/2026 – 08/11/2026)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate to support shipping, receiving, and production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining continuous plant operations by ensuring materials are properly handled, stored, and delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specifications
- Verify loads against packing sheets and ensure proper weight distribution
- Load and unload carrier trucks safely and efficiently
- Transport finished goods from production lines to warehouse storage
- Scan and track inventory using warehouse systems
- Maintain organized inventory, perform cycle counts, and stock materials
- Supply production lines with corrugated boxes and required materials
- Remove scrap materials and maintain cleanliness in work areas
- Operate wrapping equipment and prioritize pallet staging
- Dock trailers for loading using yard equipment (Ottawa truck)
- Process small parcel shipments using UPS or similar systems
- Receive inbound materials and deliver to appropriate storage locations
- Enter material data into SAP or similar systems as needed
- Assist in training new team members
- Support general warehouse operations and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Forklift experience required or ability to obtain certification
- Basic computer skills (SAP or inventory systems preferred)
- Ability to read and verify shipping/packing documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to troubleshoot basic operational or safety issues and escalate as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 60 lbs without assistance
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing
- Ability to push, pull, and move materials throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a noisy, dusty manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and around chemical odors
Work Environment
- Manufacturing facility supporting continuous operations
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and industrial conditions
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
