Freight Handler / Trailer Loader-Unloader – Weekend Overnight Shift | West Jordan, UT
Freight Breakers LLC is now accepting applications for full-time Freight Handler positions on our Weekend Overnight Shift in West Jordan, Utah. We are looking for reliable, energetic individuals who can perform well in a physically demanding and fast-moving warehouse setting while earning production-based pay.
Role Summary
This position involves loading and unloading freight trailers in a safe, organized, and efficient manner. Team members are expected to maintain accuracy and productivity throughout the shift.
Essential Job Functions
Trailer Loading:
• Load packages by hand from conveyor systems into trailers
• Use handheld devices to scan freight into outgoing trailers
• Move cages and freight containers throughout the dock area
• Stack and arrange freight securely to maximize space and safety
Trailer Unloading:
• Remove boxes from inbound trailers onto conveyor lines
• Scan and separate freight into designated holding cages
• Maintain workflow speed while following accuracy and safety procedures
Pay Structure
• Compensation is based on production and completed freight volume
• Typical earnings range between $16 and $25 per hour
• High-performing employees may earn up to $35 per hour
• Faster and more efficient work increases earning opportunities
Shift Details
• Weekend Overnight Schedule: Friday through Sunday
• Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts each weekend
• Additional weekday hours may be available depending on operational needs
Qualifications
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are mandatory
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
• Ability to repeatedly lift and move packages weighing 5–50 lbs
• Capable of handling continuous physical activity during long shifts
• Reliable transportation is required
