Warehouse Associates

Asia International, Inc. is a premier protein distributor based in San Francisco and Orange County. We are family owned and proud to work closely with vendors, customers, and our internal team to provide the highest quality meat and the most trusted customer service. We are looking to add a new member to our warehouse team at our Long Beach, CA location. This position offers a starting pay rate of $20.00 – $21.00 per hour. The Warehouse Associate will perform routine manual and clerical work involved with receiving, filling orders, stocking, and general warehouse duties

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reports directly to Logistics Manager
• Fast-pace, independent position which involves lifting, lowering, and carrying boxed meat

FUNCTIONS:

• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts items received or distributed.
• Prepare parcels for mailing
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Completes reports by entering required information.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Operate company power equipment in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Operate company truck in accordance with company policy and procedures.
• Physically unloading and loading delivery trucks

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have high school diploma or GED
• Excellent customer service skills
• Flexible work availability preferred
• Ability to work safely and quickly in fast-paced environment
• Neat and professional appearance required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent standing
• Able to work at cold temperatures in a refrigerated environment
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds-Frequent maneuvering
• 2-handed lifting, pushing, and handling
• Sustained squatting, kneeling, stooping, and bending
