DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify actual deliveries received against bills of landing, invoices, packing slips, purchase order or other records from all suppliers, including but not limited to those shipped via FedEx, UPS and other carriers
- Return or reject damaged items
- Record shortages and notifies Finance of the discrepancy
- Process requisition, transfers and prepare fill orders for distribution
- Adhere to warehouse standard operating procedure manual for the warehouse department
- Monitor inventory levels and manage assets to achieve appropriate stock levels and ordering schedules
- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in the preparation and maintenance of a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required; maintain inventory of items in the warehouse; file records as required
- Operate and demonstrate use of specialized warehouse equipment including manual and powered pallet jack, forklift, hand truck, cart, and electronic scale; ensure proper and routine maintenance and servicing of warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Clean warehouse as needed or requested
- Adhere to the warehouse standard operating procedure manual for warehouse department
- Observe health and safety regulations; maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
- Respond promptly to internal and external customer needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of (1) year verifiable warehouse experience
Experience with computerized inventory/purchasing systems preferred
Ability to become skilled using current inventory system within 60 days of hire date as a condition of continued employment
Ability to use all equipment associated with the position including manual and powered pallet jack, forklift, hand truck, cart, and electronic scale
Must be very detail oriented, organized and possess general office and computer experience with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL, Word, and the ability to learn new software programs in a timely manner
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, kneel, squat, stoop and twist. Must possess the physical dexterity to operate hand tools and motor vehicles
Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Able to work in sunny, hot, humid, cold, and rainy conditions
Willing to work in a smoke, tobacco and drug-free workplace
