Transportation Customer Service Representative (Temporary) - Compton, CA

Empire Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Transportation Customer Service Representative to support our client, in a fast-paced transportation and logistics environment.

IMPORTANT: Candidates must have strong organizational, communication, and computer skills. Previous transportation customer service experience, port experience, and terminal knowledge are highly preferred but not required. Candidates must also have a resume and be available for an interview before proceeding.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and schedule transportation activities
• Track and schedule containers from the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints
• Troubleshoot escalated vendor issues by collaborating with Transportation and Customer Service teams
• Communicate dispatch challenges with vendors in real time to maintain pickup schedules and meet customer service expectations
• Oversee customer correspondence, shipment tracing, purchase order validation, and order processing
• Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates

Requirements:

• Strong organizational, written, verbal, and computer skills - REQUIRED
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - REQUIRED
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency - REQUIRED
• Previous transportation customer service experience - Preferred
• Port experience - Preferred
• Terminal knowledge - Preferred
• Resume required
• Available for an interview before proceeding

7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay Rate:

$20.00 per hour
