Overview:

Plans, organizes and monitors the office to ensure all paperwork is processed and filed properly. This position also helps with supervisory duties when needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitors storage racking and other structures to ensure the safe storage of all materials.
  • Monitors the unloading and loading of all materials to ensure compliance to safety requirements.
  • Resolves discrepancies with plant accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, receiver reports or inventory levels.
  • Replenishes supplies of packaging and raw materials for production as needed.
  • Generates and prints bills of lading for all outbound shipments.
  • Creates inbound report to track lot numbers for all raw materials.
  • Maintains daily ship log/rate sheet for all outbound trucks.
  • Ensures inventories levels are accurate by performing daily inventory cycle counts.
  • Enters information for inventory of products corresponding to amount received and shipped into the system.
  • Maintains proper levels of display racks for sales reps.
  • Prepares orders for sales reps and customers to ship out via UPS.
  • Contacts LTL carriers for pick-ups as needed; ensures on-time deliveries are made.
  • Updates resource lists for disaster recovery purposes as needed.
  • Runs tri-weekly open order reports to check for any missing acknowledgements; prints acknowledgements.
  • Generates customs forms for export shipments.
  • Promptly and professionally answers all phone calls.
  • Inputs paperwork daily into the system for month end numbers.
  • Coordinates with production scheduler to maintain proper inventory levels at co-packer using Prism system.
  • Receives all raw material purchase orders into the system.
  • Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HAACP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
  • Participates in activities related to Marzetti Operational Excellence.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of warehouse or production experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a food-related industry.
  • Knowledge of receiving/shipping, warehouse and material handling operations, methods and practices.
  • Computer knowledge/skills and good math skills are required
Working Conditions/Environment:

Works primarily in an office environment, with 25% or less time in a manufacturing environment, where the employee is regularly required to speak, read, sit, stand, walk, climb, crouch, lift, reach, grasp and bend while moving about the facility.   Requires some lifting of moderately heavy items such as file boxes.  May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.  The employee may periodically be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment.  The noise level in the office is moderate and loud in the plant.  Ear protection, eye/face protection, hair/beard nets, steel-toed/slip-resistant shoes, and gloves are required as necessary in accordance with company GMP and safety standards.
