Description

The Warehouse Clerk supports daily warehouse operations to ensure materials, components, and finished goods move efficiently through the Faribault, MN manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking inventory with accuracy and attention to detail. The Warehouse Clerk works closely with Production, Purchasing, and Shipping teams to keep the plant running smoothly and without interruption. The work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:30pm and the starting pay is $20/hour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Material Receiving - Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities and part numbers, inspect materials for damage, and enter receipts into the inventory system.
  • Inventory Management - Maintain accurate stock levels through cycle counts, bin audits, and proper labeling.
  • Material Handling - Move materials to designated storage locations using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment.
  • Production Support - Pick and stage components for manufacturing orders to ensure production lines remain supplied and printing labels and serial numbers for production orders.
  • Shipping Coordination - Prepare outbound shipments, package materials securely, and generate shipping documents.
  • Documentation & Data Entry - Maintain accurate records in the ERP/MRP system, including receipts, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Safety & Compliance - Follow all safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and comply with OSHA and company policies.
  • Cross‑Functional Communication - Work with Production, Purchasing, and Quality teams to resolve material issues quickly.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience; manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to read packing slips, part numbers, and basic engineering documentation.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Microsoft D365 preferred).
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Problem Solving - Quickly identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Technical Aptitude - Comfortable using scanners, computers, and warehouse software.
  • Dependability - Consistent attendance and reliability in supporting production needs.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Regular use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and material‑handling equipment.
  • Warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
