**Job Summary:**
As a Warehouse Clerk, you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently completing receiving processes in a warehouse setting. This includes verifying receiving documents, entering product data accurately, and managing documents effectively. You will also be required to communicate with inbound drivers to ensure smooth operations.
Pay: $20/hour
Shift: 4 work days, 10 hour shifts 2nd shift full time position
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Communicate with inbound drivers
- Verify documentation for received products, including Bills of Lading, warehouse receiving documents, and purchase orders
- Notify Supervisor of any major discrepancies before receiving products
- Document inbound carriers in Receiving Log
- Post received purchase orders
- Prepare the Receiving Exception Report daily
- Coordinate with the receiver and unloader on dock door assignments and driver contact
- Assist in collecting freight handling fees and issuing receipts
- Compile end-of-shift receiving/inventory debrief
- Check and ensure accuracy of team members' time and performance
- Document outbound trailers in the shipping log
- Report promptly on damages and inventory discrepancies
- Maintain food safety, housekeeping, and other relevant standards
- Cross-train to cover Shipping Clerk functions when required
- Perform other duties as assigned
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or GED required; additional college coursework or relevant experience is a plus
- Previous experience in receiving or warehouse operations preferred
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is advantageous
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in using email, word processing, spreadsheets, WMS, and other applications
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
**Environmental Job Conditions:**
- Ability to independently lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally
- Regularly sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat in a refrigerated warehouse environment
- Perform tasks such as grasping, reaching, pushing, or pulling frequently
- Endurance for continuous and fast-paced work
- Work in fluctuating temperatures, including freezing conditions as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Handle products that may contain food allergens
- Safely operate equipment such as computers, handheld trackers, copiers, scanners, and printers after training
