Warehouse Clerk

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (Weekends required during peak season)
• 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM (Up to 12-hour shifts during peak season)
• Job Term: Temp to Hire

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, staffing, and safety compliance. This leadership role ensures efficient workflow, accurate inventory management, and timely shipment coordination while maintaining a safe and productive warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations & Team Leadership

• Supervise warehouse staff including shipping clerks, receiving personnel, and forklift operators
• Set schedules, assign tasks, and evaluate employee performance
• Train, mentor, and support team members on warehouse procedures, safety standards, and equipment operation
• Monitor attendance, approve timesheets, and address performance concerns
• Promote a positive, efficient, and safety-focused work environment
• Communicate regularly with warehouse leads to ensure operational priorities are met

Shipping & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate shipping activities, planned routes, pickups, and deliveries
• Ensure all outbound shipments meet customer and retailer compliance requirements
• Verify shipping orders are completed and signed off prior to pickup
• Coordinate with Packaging and Outsourcing teams on rush or time-sensitive orders

Receiving & Inventory Control

• Oversee inbound inventory processes and ensure accurate counts and documentation
• Plan warehouse layout strategically to optimize operational flow
• Identify and resolve shipment discrepancies with vendors
• Maintain accurate inventory records and proper stock organization
• Ensure safe storage and handling of supplies and materials

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce all warehouse safety procedures and regulatory compliance standards
• Supervise forklift operations and ensure safe equipment usage
• Monitor warehouse processes to ensure consistency and efficiency
• Track performance metrics and identify opportunities for operational improvements
• Maintain accurate warehouse reports and documentation

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous warehouse lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software or ERP systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities
• Willingness to be cross-trained across all warehouse functions
• Ability to work overtime and weekends during peak season
