Position Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Coordinator supports all areas of operation by handling material throughout the factory, loading outbound freight, and inspecting, verifying and receiving inbound freight. This position is responsible for inventory placement and accuracy, allergen awareness and segregation, and housekeeping of storage areas and aisles. This position will work in unison with customer service, administrative and production personnel to maximize efficiency, inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities
- Transport materials throughout the facility.
- Operate pallet wrapping machine.
- Inspect inbound and outbound vehicles as required by company procedure.
- Load finished goods for delivery to customers.
- Complete forms (packing slips, Bills of Materials, etc.), organize and review documents, and turn them into designated person or department.
- Verify pallet tags match pallet contents (quantity, lot information, etc).
- Correct and report deviations as needed.
- Stage, track, trace and update status of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Unloading of raw materials used in the manufacture of finished goods (green coffee, packaging materials, etc.).
- Pick and wrap orders for shipment. Check orders to ensure accuracy (quantity, lot information, etc.).
- Pick, pack, check, and load products accurately on/off trailers and to/from designated areas of facility.
- Loading or unloading of freight as needed (equipment, machinery, pallets, etc.)
- Collaborate with customer service or other areas involved in the shipment and receiving of products.
- Inspect equipment and complete forklift inspections at required intervals.
- Maintain forklift and report any issues (safety, mechanical). Ensure all equipment is operating safely and properly.
- Maintain a clean, neat, orderly area.
- Promptly unload trucks and deliveries, and store in appropriate location.
- Provide support to any member of the team requiring or requesting assistance.
- Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
- Managing inventory.
- Adhere to safety standards. Identify and report workplace safety hazards.
- Stack loads in correct storage bays, following inventory-control instructions
- As requested, conduct physical inventory counts of raw materials and/or finished goods. Report aging inventory to ensure proper production rotation.
- Report inventory breakage or anomalies that could result in deviation or discrepancy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); is required.
- One (1) year shipping-related experience is strongly preferred.
- Prior forklift experience is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Basic understanding of warehouse procedures with the ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items being shipped or received with a strong attention to detail is required.
- Understand written or verbal instructions or job duties, follow instructions thoroughly, ask questions if necessary, be engaged in the work, and be a partner in producing the finest ofi products.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
- Follow established programs, policies, and practices, and work safely to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
- Ability to effectively manage time while working independently or part of a team is required.
- The ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal is required.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
- Ability to pick-up and carry products up to 50 pounds unassisted is required.
- Ability to use full range of motion to bend, stretch, kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladder and work standing-up for much of the entire shift is required.
- Work in a light industrial and somewhat warm environment (during summer) or cool areas (during the winter).
- Have ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety policies and requirements.
