Job Summary: The Warehouse Coordinator / Shop Tech plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, shop facilities, and equipment. This position oversees inventory and logistics, manages shop fabrication and repair tasks, and collaborates with sub-contractors to facilitate seamless facility and equipment activities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in unloading trucks, receiving shipments, and stocking inventory.
Verify that shipments match what had been ordered and work with appropriate personnel to reconcile any discrepancies.
Maintain an organized inventory in the stockroom and shop to ensure easy accessibility.
Run errands and procure parts as needed.
Handle shipping of urgently required parts via FedEx when necessary.
Collaborate with colleagues to streamline warehouse operations and uphold an organized work environment.
Perform shop fabrication, assembly, testing, and repair of fire protection equipment, valves, and related components.
Maintain shop tools, machinery, and workspace safety standards.
Perform various maintenance tasks around the buildings, including the replacement of lighting fixtures and general upkeep duties.
Schedule and oversee metal container pickups, ensuring timely trash container replacements.
Execute routine maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities, including backup power generators, forklifts, and fire pumps.
Manage scheduling and supervision of servicing and repairs, ensuring equipment remains in optimal condition.
Apply problem-solving skills to identify cost-effective solutions for maintenance and repair needs.
Collaborate with sub-contractors for building maintenance, pest control, HVAC, and plumbing requirements.
Aid sub-contractors during their visits to our premises.
Maintain effective communication and coordination with sub-contractors to ensure smooth operations.
Other duties as assigned.
