Job Summary

The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately entering and maintaining customer, inventory, order, and product information within the company's systems. The ideal candidate is highly organized, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced wholesale food distribution environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Enter customer orders, invoices, purchase orders, and inventory data into company systems.

  • Verify data for accuracy and completeness before processing.

  • Update customer accounts, pricing information, and product records.

  • Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.

  • Process order changes and corrections as needed.

  • Assist with inventory record updates and reconciliation.

  • Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and accounting departments to ensure accurate order processing.

  • Generate reports and assist with administrative tasks as assigned.

  • Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous data entry, administrative, or office experience preferred.

  • Experience in food distribution, wholesale, logistics, or inventory management is a plus.

  • Strong typing and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Experience using ERP, inventory management, or order entry software is preferred.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with invoices, purchase orders, and inventory records.

  • Familiarity with wholesale distribution or the food service industry.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
