Warehouse & Delivery Associate

We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Warehouse & Delivery Associate for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in North Chicago, IL 60085.Details of the position are as follows: 
 
Job Details:

• Pay: $20/hr to Start!!
• 3-month assignment (through end of year), possibility for extension based on performance and budget.
• Monday-Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm EST.(Onsite)
• Position will be mainly responsible for resolving customer requests, questions and complaints frequently requiring analysis of situations to determine the best use of resources.
• This position will be responsible for maintaining statistics for departmental reporting.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and verify incoming mail and packages against packing slips and process receipts in the receiving system.
  • Research and reroute misdirected mail and packages using computer applications.
  • Process internal pickup requests, rush deliveries, returns, and package movements.
  • Prepare pallets, sort freight manifests, and move shipments to designated dock staging areas.
  • Operate material handling equipment to transport packages and support mail/package delivery.
  • Deliver incoming mail and packages to designated customers and mail stops.
  • Investigate and document shipment, receiving, and delivery discrepancies.
  • Maintain dock and package staging areas and support mail center operations.
  • Process packages and close purchase orders in SAP when required.

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Package receiving, verification, and processing
• Mail and package delivery operations
• SAP receiving and purchase order processing
• Shipment tracking, rerouting, and discrepancy resolution
• Material handling equipment operation
• Pallet preparation and dock staging
• Freight manifest printing and sorting
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. and perform extensive walking, standing, stooping, and ladder climbing
• Valid driver's license when operating company vehicles
